I AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES t Jack Alder of the stentorian voice, announced that after the running of the steeplechase race, the center field would be thrown open to the genral public. Frank J. Kearns was a one day visitor from Chicago. He said that he would ship three two-year-olds here in charge of J. OBrien to race at this meeting. Jockey Steffen is due back here on Monday from Chicago, where he rode Saturday. Subscribers to the Saratoga Special were notified that subscriptions to the race must be made before midnight on Monday, June 14. J. H. Whitneys Inhale and Flying Scot are due back at Belmont Park on Monday from western engagements. . . A. A. Baroni brought Top Row to the paddock before the running of the first race for educational purposes. J. L. Donovan arrived from Boston to saddle W. H. Gallaghers Rudie in the Shevlin. Franz Eue, designer of the plaques presented to the leaders of the turf last season by the New York Turf writers, died at his Brooklyn home yesterday. Mrs. Joseph Riley, wife of The Jockey Club official, died at her home, 2366 Grand Concourse. She is survived by her husband and I two sons, Frank and Joseph. Funeral announcements will be made later. Stake books for the Empire City meeting were distributed by Jack Campbell Saturday afternoon.
