AT POST— minute. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third easily. SUPERLEE swerved in the running but responded to urging in the final eighth and closed with a rush on the inside to wear down BOLD FAY in the final strides. The latter was sent into command with a rush, showed speed from the start and held on well to the end. SUN GIRL overcame interference nearing the final quarter mile and then finished with determination. ROSE BABY gained steadily from a slow beginning and was bothered slightly when the winner swerved over. ESCALADE moved up with a rush when urged and then faltered. GUITAR showed an even effort. PRUDENT MISS raced greenly. SHORT RATIONS had no mishaps. PEACHYPIE raced well. HIGH PLACE faltered when urged. SECOND RACE ABOUT 2 MILES. Fairmount, May 29, 1926—3:40—5—147. RED RAIN jumped well while under restraint, made a bad bobble at the tenth fence, recovered quickly and, responding to urging, outfinished SAILOR BEWARE in the final drive. The latter was sent into command at the start, was taken back when outrun, moved into command when urged and then finished on his own courage at the end. RIOTER showed speed while jumping well and had no mishaps in the running. FILS DE LIRAL. from a slow beginning, closed some ground at the end. TOP WAVE was outrun from the start and could not menace the leaders. GOOD CHANCE moved up fast when called upon at the second turn of the field and then faltered. MENOW moved into command soon after the start, raced BATTLE JACK into defeat, drew away and was eased up through the final sixteenth. THANKSGIVING moved up with determination on the outside rounding the stretch turn, made a determined bid, but was not good enough. REDBREAST worked his way up on the inside, saved much ground entering the stretch and iinished with good courage. MAGIC HOUR was placed under pressure rounding the far turn, but could not menace the leaders. DAH HE broke slowly, but finished well under mild urging. RED PEPPER was close up early, but faltered badly in the stretch run. SUN ALEXANDRIA had no mishaps. CATTISTOCK could not improve its position. BATTLE JACK quit badly after racing close to the early pace for a half mile. SIXTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES.
