] BEULAH PARK NOTES I $ $ Two prominent Columbus horsemen, Dr. L. N. Jentgen and N. E. Shop, will ship their stables to Ascot Park for the nineteen-day meeting there opening Saturday, May 28. Dr. Jentgen, who campaigns his stable under the name of his Sunny Ridge Farm, has Bank Me, Costlier, Perdition, Whoa Back, Captain Jeffers and others. Bank Me, Costlier, Perdition and Whoa Back have won at the current meeting at Beulah Park. Elmer Albright trains the Jentgen string. N. E. Shop has reserved ten stalls at Ascot. His stable includes Uncle July, Brilliant Pal, Salestax, and other good ones. Brilliant Pal, a superior mudder, won at Beulah last Saturday. John Frye is in charge of the Shop stable. Jockey Vincent Kamar rides for the establishment. Harry Plant, trainer for Howard Lomas stable of Granville, Ohio, has reserved stalls for Ingle Nook, March Moon, Prince Anon and Roma Rock at Ascot. F. S Blair will send Tomboy, Lee Walker, Jim Cornell, and Polywhisk from Beulah to Ascot while E. McCaffery will race Noel-wood, a Tuesday winner at Beulah. John Money has Sporting Maudie and Waygood Lad ready for the Ascot meeting. W. E. Harned will campaign Grasswrack and Swing Corners at Ascot. Grasswrack established a new track record for a mile and seventy yards at Beulah. Other horsemen who plan to race at the Ascot meeting include: F. Russel, with Big One and Catswecp; R. Flinchum, with Nancy Khan; P. Ryan, with Claremont, Idle Flirt and Charles J.; N. A. Fissel, with Impii Wiike and Blushing Girl; J. Rickey, with Silver Tidings; N. Pombles, with Flutterby and Just Bud; J. Lewis, with Bobbys Son and Prophetic; and K. Cronk, with Ray X. Numerous improvements are being made at Ascot Park, where the nineteen-day meeting will open on Saturday next. A camera eye has been installed to decide close finishes and the stewards stand has been moved to the roof of the grandstand. All improvements will be completed in ample time for opening day, on which a 00 handicap, at one and one-sixteenth miles, will be featured. G. C. Fisher, apprentice rider from Mount Vernon, Ind., leads the list of winning jockeys at the completion of Fridays racing with nine winners to his credit. Fisher commenced riding at Shreveport, La., last fall, where he piloted his first winner and finished that meeting with nine victories. At New Orleans last winter Fisher had thirteen wins to his credit.
