S. D. RIDDLES BIRTHPLACE NEW YORK, N. Y., May 21.— Says Samuel D. Riddle, War Admirals owner, in an exclusive interview by Neil Newman in the Turf and Sport Digests June issue: "I was born at Glen Riddle, Pa., on July 1, 1861 thus 76; my father had established a cotton mill there and named the town after the ancestral home in Scotland, where Robert Burns had been the family librarian. I am a mixture of Scot, Irish, English and Indian blood, and therefore no more eligible to registry among the social elect than my poor Man o War is to the general stud book."
