XAVIER, much the best but away slowly and far out of it for a half mile, came through on the inside where the going was deepest, responded well lo strong urging and wore down PIN MONEY in the last sixteenth. The latter shook off HEIDI in the first sixteenth, assumed a commanding lead quick but swerved under punishment in the stretch. HEIDI raced prominently all of the way. JOE EATON could not keep up. ALLEGORY broke well, dropped back soon thereafter, came around outside in the last five-sixteenths, and, closing with a rush, was up in the last few strides. GALE WAY was hustled into the lead soon after the start, opened up a good lead after three-eighths, came wide into the stretch and tired in the last sixteenth. WISE EDDIE raced well up for the entire trip and held rn gamely under strong urging. LUTEEN tired in the drive. BAR PLAY had no excuse. STYLE CORNER, well up in the early stages, was taken through on the inside when the leaders drifted out on the turn, moved up to the leaders midway of the Stretch then faltered. RAPID BELLS, close to the paco for a half mile, continued gamely and finished well. BLOND JESTER began slowly, was far back for a half mile, then made up ground steadily thereafter. TUNBRIDGE was rushed into the lead where she faltered. POPS BETTY had no excuse. REELAWAY, far back throughout, showed a dull performance. MOKENA, away fast and taken back off the pace soon after the start, came around the leaders when ready, drew away rapidly in the last eighth and had something in reserve. JENS SON, hard hustled throughout, alternated at setting the pace, but was no match for the winner. EQUANIMITY was prominent for the entire trip and continued gamely, but was taken in deepest going all of the way. MAGNOLIA CASH swerved repeatedly during the stretch racing when placed to pressure. GOLDEN ARIEL was much used in the early stages trying to keep up and gave way after a half mile. Overweight — Mokena, 2 pounds. Corrected weight — Mokena, 108. DADS CHOICE kept on the outside throuahout, showed a good effort. FAIR VOLTA, far back for a "half mile, made up some ground thereafter. WAZA WIND showed brief early speed.
