ARLINGTON STAKES CLOSING Rich Classic, Arlington Cup, Stars and Stripes, Matron and Inaugural on List. Highlighted by the 0,000 added Classic Stakes and the 5,000 added Arlington Cup, six important stakes to be run during the thirty days of the Arlington Park meeting opening June 27 will close their nomination lists Wednesday, June 1. Final payments were received for the 0,000 added Arlington Futurity and the 0,000 added Lassie Stakes on May 16, and the six stakes closing June 1 carry the remainder of the 06,000 in added money distributed through the meetings eight stakes. With no purse less than ,000, the total distribution for the thirty days of racing will be approximately 47,600, or an average of about 4,920 per day.
