BUDDIE TREACY, on the inside early, raced around VICTORY MISS when still under restraint, continued into a good lead before reaching the stretch and tired in the last eighth, but managed to stall off LADY CONFUCIUS. The latter, lightly urged to keep up in the early stages, went wide on the turn and continued to lose ground when closing resolutely. SAM ALEXANDER, raced wide throughout, showed an even effort. NATALIE MAE held on fairly well. REAL ONE went as if she did not like the footing. FLYING BREEZE showed little. Overweight — Real One. 2j pounds ; Natalie Alice, 1. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. FAIREST FLAG forced the early pace under only mild restraint, was sharply taken up as FOR ROMANCE apparently prevented her from securing ample room on the inside, raced around the early pacemaker entering the stretch and was ridden out. FOR ROMANCE, taken in hand after being rushed into command, appeared to swerve approaching the second turn, went out slightly on the stretch turn and, tiring in the final quarter, could not hold the winner. MR. MACK, away fast, could not hold the advantage and was also held safe. SPANISH ART tired badly. The others showed nothing. Overweight — Sun Wine, 2j pounds.
