Ontario Jockey Club. Spring meeting of 7 days. Races at one-half mile, three-quarters mile and one and one quarter miles started from stationary stalls; others from Clark Stall Gate. MERVIN B., hustled away when the start came, was steadied along saving ground the first three-eighths, came to the outside of the leaders entering the stretch, closed gamely and drew out in the final sixteenth. THERMAL raced forvvardly placed from the start, came with good courage through the stretch and outfinished GIFT O GAB. The latter worked its way forward steadily on the outside and closed with a rush through the final quarter mile. EASTER HATTER was well placed throughout and had no excuses ARABIAN MYTH, hustled into the lead at the start, set the pace then quit badly throueh the stretch run. BYE BYE MARY broke from behind the stalls and closed with a rush. " NOISETTE quU. REBECCA LEE was away slow when sent away from the rear of the stalls. BERNARDINE W., much the best, was slow to settle in her best stride, moved up steadily after leaving the half-mile ground, and, closing with a rush, won in handy fashion. BLUE WREN moved up with a rush entering the stretch, was bumped leaving the quarter post when JAKE BLIEDEN bore out, recovered quickly and closed gamely. FIRE REEL made up ground. SPEARMAN saved ground entering the stretch and had no mishaps. JAKE BLIEDEN set the pace to the stretch, then bore out when tiring. FAIR ELISE made up ground. BABE GAIETY quit. PEKISKO, well handled, was rated back off the pace the first turn of the field, fenced well, moved to the leader after a mile and ■one-quarter, shook off SOLAR TIME and drew out in the run to the end. PIPERS SON raced well placed throughout was taken up leaving the final obstacle and sent to the outside of SOLAR TIME and closed gamely to outfinish the latter. SOLAR TIME was hustled to the pacemaker task from the start, shook off repeated bids from BLAND HILLTOP in the first mile, then faltered in the final quarter mile. IDLE SOLDIER raced evenly. MR. PECK made up ground. BLAND HILLTOP forced the pace for a mile then bobbled at the seventh hurdle and tired badly. SATIN ROCK could not threaten. The others were outrun. LIPTON, a forward factor from the start came between the leaders entering the stretch, closed gamelv and outfinished GOLDLURE. The latter on the outside throughout, came wide in the stretch, then held on gamelv in the final drive SAMOAN slow away from the gate, went evenly. WORTHY DUKE tired. TRAP-LAKE, slow to settle in its best stride, moved up steadily after leaving the half mile ground, closed willingly and outfinished MISS GORMLEY. The latter, well placed throughout, closed gamely while tiring. COUNT BRUNO sprinted into a good early lead, then faltered through the final eighth. GAY SYMPATHY went evenly. ROCHE DOR dropped back in the back stretch, then came again in the final eighth. SANDALMAN tired badlv. RURAL SHOWER was awav in a tangle after acting unruly at the start. EASIEST WAY forced the pace from the start, closed willingly through the final quarter and was unable to contend with the winner. SOLID sprinted into a good lead, was steadied along and closed willingly, but was not good enough. TRICKYS SON tired. FAIR COUNTESS raced evenly. IRISH IMAGE was outrun.
