Won driving; second and third easily. HARRYS CHOICE moved up strongly on the outside entering the stretch and "held on well in the final tost. PRINCESS TOUR broke slowly, closed an immense gap and saved ground in the stretch LUCKY LEE tired in the final eighth. MERE LASSIE dwelt when the break came and closed a tremendous gap GENTLE-MAN JACK had no excuses and tired in the run home. The others tired badly. BROOM TOUR raced in close quarters between the leaders much of the trip and finished tiling. PHRDCUS could never improve its position. The others were outrun. BOSS moved up strongly on the outside entering the stretch, but barely lasted to save third. THEN SOME finished stoutly on the inside. QUEEN CLARICE was away poorly. The others tired. TAIPAN acted badly at the post, broke from outside the stall gate and was forced wide at the first turn.
