SIR GEORGE, away well, was taken in hand when placed in close quarters approaching the turn, saved ground entering the stretch, responded to urging thereafter and outfinished GAMING. The latter, a sharp factor from the beginning, took command on the stretch turn under pressure, ran out badly, but finished gamely. CHICKEN LADY, away slowly, was rushed into a contending position on the outside, was carried out entering the stretch and held on well in the drive. BUCKS IMAGE began slowly, moved up on the outside after the first quarter but never threatened the leaders. HELEN MACAW was in close quarters approaching the turn. The latter, well up and in hand from the beginning, took command under pressure approaching the last eighth and held on fairly well, but was not good enough. ATTAUQUECHEE. away well but unable to keep up, improved its position fast after three-quarters and closed stoutly. IMMUTABLE held her position und¥r occasional light ureing, held on well to the final quarter and then tired. OGEE rushed up on the outside to take a slight lead on the turn, bore out entering the stretch and closed gamely. POISON CUP, away well but unable to keep up. was hard ridden after a quarter and closed fairly well. CAMPO broke poorlv. SKOTCHY held on well to the last eighth and then tired. MISS REVEILLE was fractious at the gate, broke fast but dropped back soon thereafter and was never a factor. LAURELS RUBY reared up and cast herself in the stall gate, broke well, but dropped back soon thereafter and was not persevered with. BABY JOE, unable to keep up in the early stages, came between horses in the last three-eighths rapidly, assumed the lead when straightened out in the stretch, then faltered under pressure. MINT BOX, on the inside throughout, reached a contending position in the last quarter, but could not reach the leaders. CARBON COPY closed a good gap. YENRAC forced the pace for five-eighths, then gave way. SHOTEUR, hustled into the lead soon after the start, set the pace under light restraint for three-quarters, then quit badly.
