♦— COMING BELMONT STAKES NEW YORK, N. Y., May 23.— During the third week of the spring meeting at Belmont Park, from May 23 to May 28, three stakes are down for decision, the Hollis, a claiming stake for three-year-olds and upward, six furlongs, Wednesday, May 25, and the Corinthian, a steeplechase handicap, about two miles, and the historic Suburban for three-year-olds and upward, a mile and a quarter, these two to be run on Saturday, May 28. With a field of ten starters the Hollis will gross ,850 and will net the , winner ,900. The more prominent of the thirty-four eligibles are Fraidy Cat, Orient Express, Wise Mentor, Proph, Izar Zuri, Sunsun, Spandau, Scrooge, Reminiscent, Sweetie Pie and Red Glare.
