PARKWGOD STABLES DOUBLE Donosiris Outfinishes Lipton and Goldlure at Woodbine Park. Torontos Off-Day Program Made Up of Seven Claiming Haees and Hamilton ri.it.- Handicap. TORONTO, Ont., May 23— Donosiris, gelded son of Osiris II. and Hey, carried the gold, red and blue silks of the Parkwood Stable to their second victory of the season in the Hamilton Plate Handicap, feature for the second day of the Ontario Jockey Club ■print meeting. Making his first start since July last year, Donosiris raced to a front-running victory a length in advance of the highly-regarded Lipton from the Cosgrave Stable. Goldlure, winner of the 1937 renewal of the Kings Plate, raced to third place a neck off while J. E. F. Seagrams Samoan was in fourth place two and one-half lengths back. Worthy Duke, Penabud, and Giggling Girl completed the small but select field of home-breds. The off-day program was made up of seven claiming events, all of which were well filled, in addition to the featured Hamilton Plate Handicap. Rain fell all during the early part of the program, and the track was dead slow from the downfall. A good-sized crowd witnessed the sport. There was a four-minute delay at the gate, but starter Rowe had the field away lb good alignment after Samoan was placed on the outside for his fractious actions. As they sped from the stalls, Lipton was first to show in front, but was quickly outrun by the Parkwood calt and Goldlure moved * into second place. As they sped from the back stretch, Donosiris had a length advantage, but as they rounded the turn Goldlure moved to within a half length. HARD FOUGHT STRUGGLE. Donosiris drew up again at the head of the stretch as they came to the final furlong and Goldlure made another bold bid as Lipton also moved up. Here Goldlure began bearing out. Donosiris was placed under pressure and near the end came away to have a length advantage. Lipton closed well and outfinished Goldlure for the place award. A heavy fog, which made the distinguishing of colors impossible in the back stretch and entirely enveloping the horses on the lower turn, hung over the course for the sixth event, at six furlongs. Donna Julia, from the Parkwood Stable, was returned the winner and completed a double for the afternoon for that establishment. The daughter of Stimulus drove through in the stretch run to defeat Bain Marie by a length. Third place went to Mrs. J. Badames Trey, finishing eight lengths back. The fourth event, another at three quarters brought out eleven. Goster, from the H. C. Hatch stable, ridden by jockey D. Brammer, was the winner when he raced to the finish a length and a half before R. R. Leslies Bobs First. G. W. Sutherlands Hannah Anne took third honors three lengths back. a
