"BALDY" NORTHCOTT ARRIVES One of Newly -Acquired Black Hawks Reaches Chicago Team Leaves Thursday for Training Camp. With baseball now only a memory and the short football season well under way, sport-minded men and women who find keen enjoyment in ice hockey, the most fascinating and fastest of all games, are looking forward to the opening of the National Hockey League season next month. Chicago devotees of the game will be interested to know that the Black Hawks, winners of the Stanley Cup last spring, will leave here Thursday for several weeks of training at the University of Illinois arena in Urbana, 111. Among the first players to arrive here was the newly acquired wingman, Lawrence "Baldy" North-cott, one of the three hockey stars obtained by the Black Hawks from the defunct Montreal Maroons. Earl Robinson and Russell Blinco, the other two former "Red Shirts"; Joffre "Papa" Desilets, obtained from the Montreal Les. Canadiens in a swap for "Herr Louie" Tru-dell, and the rest of the team, will be here in time to depart Thursday noon for the training camp.
