Lyle Whiting, who rode Parisian Witch to victory in the last race at Sportsmans Park I on Monday, is 22 years old, and hails from ! ! Ord, Nebraska. He rode with much success at meetings at Billings, Great Falls and Spokane. He is riding free lance here. R. O. Higdon bought Mama Lula from P. L. Kelley and after having her fired, will send her to the Higdon farm at Tulsa, Okla. Al Gaal will race Western Run, Symphon, Triple Play, Bright, Young Playtime, R. L. Baker and Glowset here for "Butsey" Hernandez, who shipped the rest of his stable from Fairmount Park to New Orleans. Gaal also has Cherry Leaf and Zat So here for Mrs. R. S. Hampshire. Jockey Alex Schlenker left here for Maryland to report to the stable of Mrs. Emil Denemark. A. R. Mann is here from Fairmount Park with Grand Singer, Blakeen, My Blaze, Morris R., Salero and Credulous, owned by himself, and Rebekah and Earl Porter, the property of Mrs. H. M. Chesney. A. M. Jacobus has taken over the training of the horses owned by V. E. Berry Texas patron. Chilkat, Some Scout and Enrico Caruso, owned by Xen McNair, "will be campaigned here by the veteran horseman, Wayne Lewis. Jockeys J. Bowen and T. E. Ward were set down three days and fined 5 by starter George Palmer for disobedience at the post here Monday. J. Webber has replaced Hal Kiser as trainer of J. Patteis Nemrac, while Kiser, in turn, took over Many Frills to condition for Mrs. D. Delay. The veteran rider, Leonard Wilson, arrived and is ready to accept mounts. In the future, C. R. Parker will look after the training of Gate Manager, Crashing Idea, Burl, Keen Just, Vuljest, Impunity, Sun Erin, High Jolt, and Jo High, the property of various owners. J. J. OByrne formerly trained them.
