LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 11. Owners of thoroughbred stallions- to stand in the Lexington area the season of 1939 are announcing fees earlier than usual. Blenheim II., one of the thirteen at Claiborne Stud, is announced to have a full book at ,500. Sir Gallahad III.s book is full at ,500 and Stimulus is announced full at ,000. The stallions owned by William Woodward and standing at Claiborne are Gallant Fox, ,500; Omaha book full ,000; Flares ,000; Bos-well 00; Alcazar 50. At the same farm, Wheatley Stable has three Hard Tack ,000; Diavolo 00 and Snark 00. The others there are Reigh Count 00 and Jacopo 00. For the three belonging to Fred D. Koontz and standing at Military Stock Farm, announced fees are Sweeping Light ,000; I Pairbypair 00; Shifting Sands 50. Mere- worth Studs fees are Bold Venture ,000; Display 50; Ariel 00; Swift and Sure 00; Infinite 00. Beaumont Farm announces Pharamond II.s book full at ,500; Menow ,000 and Hollyrood 00. Cavalcade ,000 and Psychic Bid 50, both owned by Brookmeade Stable, are at Almahurst Farm. Horace N. Davis announces two fees for Cohort at Blue Grass Heights Farm, namely, ,000 for foal- ! ing mares, payable September 1, if mare is j in foal or 50 for barren and maiden mares; I cash at time of service, no return. Only One, property of Mrs. Deering Howe, is a new horse at Elsmeade Farm and the fee is 00. Balladier is the only one of Col. E. R. Bradleys Idle Hour Farm horses to be announced. His fee is ,000, with 10. per cent additional to insure live foal. Cohort and Balladier are the only stallions for which live foal fees are announced under any form. No return privileges are granted for Blenheim II., Sir Gallahad in. and Balladier, but for all others it is agreed that a mare failing to conceive can be returned in 1940. j
