1 LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES $ The stable of H. C. Hatch in charge of trainer C. T. Leavitt departs for California on Wednesday evening. J. H. Word purchased the plater Bold Pirate from R. J. Fisher at private terms. The Medway Stables Sam Worthy dropped dead while being worked at Long Branch Tuesday morning. Jockey D. Brammer departed for his home in Iowa, where he will holiday until rejoining the Hatch stable in California. The stables of J. H. Logan, J. Fox, P. Mecklenburg, L. R. Knifong and the Cos-grave Stable will ship direct to Narragan-sett Park from Long Branch.
