SECOND DAY KENTUCKY SALES Hancock Pays Top Price of ,700 for Mare, After Dark Brokers Tip Goes to Calif ornian for ,400. LEXINGTON, Ky., .Oct. 11 Sixty-three head of assorted stock was sold, this morning in the local sales paddock for 2,400, an average of 514. Top price of the sales to date was realized when A. B. Hancock gave ,70 " for the mare After Dark, consigned by C. J. FitzGerald. Coldstream Stud obtained Grizel for ,000 and Ed Janss ,600 for Easy Come, both mares being consigned by John Hay Whitney. Brokers Tip, 1933 Kentucky Derby winner for E. R. Bradley, was sold by Idle Hour Stock Farm for ,400 to Dan B. Midkiff, who was acting for a California buyer. The son of Black Toney and Forteresse is intended for stud duty. H. S. Bissell of Los Cruze, N. Mex., purchased Earl Sandes stallion Nassak for 00.
