OPERATIONS FOR TWO YANKS NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct 11. Spud Chandler and Wesley Ferrell, pitchers on the New York Yankees team, entered St. Elizabeths Hospital here Monday, where after observation and consultation they were both advised by Dr. Robert Emmet Walsh that an operation will be necessary to remove bone chips in their elbow joints.
