BELMONT PARK STATISTICS Westchester Association Stages Its Usual Brilliant Fall Session. W. E. Boeing Heads the Leading Winners Among Owners as Result of Porter Mites Victory in Futurity. Belmont Parks fall session was, as usual, "brilliant, winding up in a blaze of glory on October 1, after fifteen days of sport, with the rich Futurity, Jockey Club Gold Cup and Grand National Steeplechase, giving fans their fill o the highest class sport possible. The "Westchester Association distributed 64,225 for a daily average of 7,615. The percentage of winning favorites that ran as expected was .34. Odds-on choices that made good had a good margin over the disappointments, the score being 10 to 6. One hundred and ten races were run, an even dozen of them being stakes. The retired airplane manufacturer, W. E. Boeing, came out of the West to win the Futurity with Porters Mite, Boeing leading the owners as a result with 5,310 won, and Porters Mite heading the horses with 1,745. The Milky Way Farm was the second leading owner with 8,430 and Magic Hour second among the equines with 7,800. War Admiral, winner of the Gold Cup, was sixth with ,500. I Johnny Longden just nosed out Basil I James, fifteen winners to fourteen, for riding honors. James Fitzsimmons outscored T. Horning, seven winners to six, among the trainers.
