SCOTCH THISTLE followed the pace under light restraint, was put to good pressure on the second turn jSand wore down OGEE in the last sixteenth. OGEE came over sharply in taking command at the start, yvas steadied along while making the pace and held on fairly well when put to pressure, but was not good enough. HUMBLE ISSUE, hustled along from the beginning, closed well under increased pressure. PRINCE SJEAN was hard ridden throughout, but could not threaten. FORCED LANDING raced wide. FLUKE and HEIDI were taken up at the start when placed in close quarters and could not threaten thereafter. FORMAX, well up from the beginning, took command after three-eighths under light urging, was put to increased pressure the last eighth, but could not stall off the winner. LINKVILLE badly outrun for three-eighths, moved up steadily thereafter and closed boldly. DOUBLE BRUSH saved ground throughout, but failed to rally when called upon. ETERNAL WAVE tired after five-eighths. DEEP ROCK had good speed for three-eighths and then gave way badly. LAUERMAN ran out badly on the first turn. Scratched 674213Zat So, 110; 67368 May See, 107. KHAR FAIR was vigorously ridden after fife-eighths and held on stubbornly thereafter. ODDESAS PRIDE, never far back, rallied when shaken up after three-quarters and closed gamely. EMIR began to improve his position after a quarter, saved ground and finished gamely. GRAND DAY made up ground after a half mile. WATERCURE was carried very wide on the first turn by WILDA.
