FINAL SALES IN KENTUCKY 489 Horses Go Under the Hammer During Four-Day Vendue Oddesa Farms Stable Horses Dispersed. LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 13. The annual fall sales came to a close here last night with eighty-five head being sold for 1,450, an average of 05.29. During the three days of auctions, a total of 489 stallions, broodmares, yearlings, weanlings and horses in training went under the hammer for 64,765, an average of 41.44. Last years average was 46.00. Last nights sales were marked by the dispersal of the Oddesa Farms stable horses because of the illness of the owner, J. B. Jones, of Detroit. Sixteen composed the consignment, headed by the speedy two-year-old Oddesa Beulah which went for ,500 to I. J. Collins, former chairman of the Ohio State Racing Commission. The lot commanded 8,675.
