Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. JIMS NIECE forced the pace from the start, while saving ground, wore down ISAIAH in the stretch and outlasted WHA HAE in the final drive. The latter was raced forwardly from the start, responded in the stretch and finished well. SHENKOWS was under restraint in the early running and made up ground steadily in the stretch. ISAIAH was sent into command at the start, showed early speed and then quit. PLAY GOLD was taken up at the start, then was sent wide all the way and closed with a belated rush. SHINING SUN had no excuses in the running. TEA LEAVES could not keep up. DOROTHY OWSLEY quit badly. YULE STAR had no excuses. DEPTBBOMB was outrun all the way. Scratched 67383 Optic, 115. Th latter was outrun and could not menace the leaders at any stage. CARRIE K. was a trailer to the stretch turn. LADY BETHYL was outrun from the start. BRANNON was taken under restraint when outrun and failed to improve- his position thereafter. KIEVEX, a trailer to the far turn, made up some ground nearing the finish. GRIT AND GRACE had no mishaps.
