1 KEENELAND TURF NOTES s Word was received today of the death last night in Detroit, after a long illness, of J. B. Jones, owner of the Oddesa Farms stable. He died just as his stable was being dispersed in the local sales ring. T. G. "Chappie" Hastings, former E. R. Bradley trainer, was an arrival from the East. John B. McKee, veteran turfman, is a daily spectator while on a visit to his home at nearby Mt. Sterling, Ky. Leonard Florsheim, treasurer of the Arlington Park Jockey Club, is the guest of Warren Wright. Howard Stearns has replaced Cliff Thomas as trainer of the Calumet Farm stable quartered here. Calumet Red, Lotta Bull, Tem-ulac and Greeny are the horses taken over by Stearns. The three-year-old Green Country, owned and trained by Frank Mulvey, was registered Thursday by his owner.
