"TORCHY" PEDEN TO RIDE HERE William "Torchy" Peden, the popular Canadian six-day bike rider, who has won thirty-one six-day bicycle races, more than any rider in the United States or Canada, will ride in the Chicago six-day race, which starts in the Stadium, November 6. He was the first rider to sign for the Stadium race, and has hopes of winning and establishing a new worlds record for six-day victories. Only one rider in the world has won as I many races as the big Canadian. He is Pete I Van Kempen, of Holland, who has prac- j tically retired from competitive cycling. j
