DAMAGES FROM HURRICANE WASHINGTON, D. C, Oct. 13. The recent hurricane caused damage of more than ,600,000 to the small boat fishing industry along the shore of Long Island, Connecticut, . Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the U. S. bureau of fisheries estimated today. In addition to wiping out docks, shipyards and various fisheries, establishments, the storm also destroyed many oyster and clam beds. The estimates damage to fisheries industry included Connecticut 00,000; Rhode Island 60,000; Massachusetts 50,-000 and Long Island 00,000.
