SAY HELLO AND AU REVOIR Chicago Black Hawks Arrive and Immediately Leave for Camp. Players Under Direction of Coach Paul Thompson Begin Practice for Seasons Opener on November 3. The Chicago Black Hawks, winners of the coveted Stanley Cup, hockeys most coveted and prized championship emblem, said hello and au revoir in almost the same breath as they arrived in Chicago and immediately departed for Urbana, 111., where they will train at the University of Illinois ice arena for the National Professional Hockey season, which opens next month. The team numbering twenty-one men and under the direction of coach Paul Thompson, its leading scorer, will begin training today and continue for the next two weeks. Manager Bill Stewart, who is recovering from an operation at his home in Dorchester, Mass., is expected to reach Urbana shortly. In the meantime Thompson will direct the conditioning of the team. The veterans on hand for the new season, which begins at the Chicago Stadium, Thursday, November 3 with the New York Americans as the Hawks opponents, include Thompson, Mush March, Doc Romnes, Earl Seibert, Art Wiebe, Alex Levinsky, Bill Mac-Kenzie, Cully Dahlstrom, Johnny Gottselig, Jack Shill, Roger Jenkins, Carl Voss, Harold Jackson and Mike Karakas. The newcomers are Joffre Desilets, right winger obtained from the Montreal Cana-diens in exchange for Louis Trudell; Baldy Northcott, Russ Blinco and Earl Robinson, first string line of last years Montreal Maroons; Ab Demarco, amateur right winger of the Baltimore Orioles, and Phil Besler, a right winger who player with the Portland Buckaroos. This looks like the best team the Hawks have ever assembled at the start of the season and Chicago hockey fans are certain to ! be out in capacity numbers to look em over on November 3. I -
