CITY JUDGE broke well and showed early speed, was taken in hand when outrun, improved his position on the outside and wore down CANTOVINO to win drawing away under urging. CHALMAC was close up on the outside, responded when urged in the stretch and finished Avith a rush. CANTOVINO was sent into command shortly after the start, showed speed and had no mishaps. LIGHT YEAR showed a good effort all the way. CANTWELL had no mishaps in the running. CHIEFJEAN raced evenly. TWO CENTS could not keep up. AMPLE was outrun. MAPPARI could not improve his position. QUASIMODO forced the pace from the start, disposed of OCEAN ROLL when placed under pressure rounding the stretch turn and was under urging until the final sixteenth, where he was taken under mild restraint. PRINCESS BULL was a forward factor from the start, came to the outside entering the stretch and finished with determination. OCEAN ROLL showed speed from the start and responded when urged, but faltered at the end. LUCKY JEAN was well up all the way and had no mishaps. ST. MORITZ improved his position on the outside, but swerved sharply to the inside nearine the eighth post. PANORA-SCOPE had no mishaps. DOROTHY OWSLEY could not keep up. PHARABQO, a forward factor from the start, was bothered in the run through the back stretch, was eased back and sent up on the outside, responded to urging in the stretch, but bumped ARMAGNAC, then held on gamely to the end. The latter showed, speed from the start and held on with good courag to the end. HASTY WIRE was in close quarters after the start, improved his position when clear and finished gamely. CHATEAU LAGARDE moved up with determination on the far turn, but hung at the finish. STIPULATE showed a good effort all the way. GOLD CROSS had no mishaps in the running. FREE . lacked early speed and could not menace the leaders. SPEED LIMIT raced evenly. ENFIN was unable to improve position after overcoming early interference. CHIEF MOURNER was outrun. The latter was sent into command at the start, forced a fast pace thereafter, disposed of RED EYE in the stretch and held on gamely. RED EYE moved into command rounding the far turn and then faltered steadily in the stretch. AMERICAN DAISY raced well all the way. CATECHISM had no mishaps.
