LADY LUCK FROWNS ON RACE GLOUCESTER, Mass., Oct. 17. Lady Luck today continued to frown at the fishermens race for supremacy of the North Atlantic. Each schooner has won one race. Fickle winds and fog, which have carried the contest into more than a week, was climaxed by a mishap to the Yankee hope, the Gertrude L. Thebaud, compelling postponement of the third race until tomorrow. Today she is back on the marine railway for an examination of her keel, which scraped over a submerged rock yesterday as the schooner started in tow for Boston to meet the Blue Nose, Nova Scotia champion, in what was to have been the third in the series of five races.
