JUST HIGH, slow to reach his stride, moved up rapidly after three-eighths, offered a bold bid midway of the stretch and tired near the end JILDAC, never far back, finished well. ANCIENT TIMES sprinted into a good lead early, set a good pace and responded well when tiring, but was unable to withstand the winner. SIVA, hustled along from the start, finished in close quarters. PEPPY closed with a rush. PIPSON was in close quarters for three-eighths. PRINCE FOX began slowly and made up ground in the drive. MISS TWINKLING was done after a half mile. LOVELY SISTER, going in her best form and well ridden, was in close quarters early, moved up when clear, wore down TIBI when inside the final eighth and withstood DARBY DU. The latter, unable to improve early position, was forced wide when racing forwardly and closed resolutely. RUGGED RED slow to begin, raced forwardly through the field, was sent to the inside for the drive and finished strongly. BUGLE BELL, in close quarters early, came through the field in the stretch, but tired near the end. TIBI, hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear and tired rapidly after relinquishing the lead NOPALOSA PORTE was unable to keep up. JUST TOO SWEET showed little. IRENE GRANT, outrun early, improved her position on the outside, was sent between the leaders in the drive, wore down MAI-SHEK in the last stages and won drawing away. SHEKINRUN hustled along from the start, established a big lead after subduing BAYS BARBARA, then gave way when challenged and came again in the last strides. MAI-SHEK, slow to begin, moved up swiftly on the outside, took command when sent to the inside in the stretch, but tired rapidly near thc end. KING WHIM, used up in reaching contention while racing wide, tired after offering a bold bid approaching the final quarter MYSTIC MAN showed an even effort. KEENE SPORT was never a factor.
