. I HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES 9 Trainer Tom Rodrock arrived from Virginia with fourteen of W. F. Hitts string. Hugh Dufford has eight horses in training for Alvin Untermeyer of New York, including the good handicap horse, Chaps. Bill Mulholland, who trains the Brandy-wine Stables horses, got in from Stanton. Mulholland is hobbling about on a cane, due to an injured knee. George D. Widener, Pennsylvania sportsman, shipped four horses here from his Erd-enheim farm. The remainder went to Ja- r maica for the opening of New Yorks 1939 season tomorrow. Trainer Bert Mulholland is slated to bring Eight Thirty here for the Chesapeake, the Easts tryout for the Kentucky Derby. Jockey H. Richards is here to ride for the stable. Tommy Waller brought in nine of the Brandon Stables string from Florida. Jockey Johnny Adams was an arrival from California. He is under contract to W. E. Boeing, who has thirty-one horses quartered in this state. Trainer Herb Bundscho states that the Tomara Stables Teddy Weed, winner of the 0,000 Tropical Handicap, unloaded from the Florida course in excellent condition. Duval Headley brought in ten of his uncles, Hal Price Headleys, thoroughbreds from Kentucky. The "Daily Double" will be held on each days first and second race. "Double" windows close at 2:15 p. m., or fifteen minutes before actual racing begins.
