jt FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES 4 and Word was received here that Jess Burks had a serious automobile accident and is laid, up in a Vicksburg, Miss., hospital. Burks filed stall applications for four horses here, Flying Cadet, Tiger John, Wild Beauty and gipalong. Special days for surrounding towns will again be a feature of the meeting. Several ot the outstanding towns, such as Belleville, tCollinsville, Edwardsville, Madison, Granite City and others, will be honored. E. "Bud" Tiller has his 16-year-old son ,Gulledge galloping horses and plans to em-ibark the youngster on a. riding career next Spring. Mark Livingston, a highly successful trainer in these parts in past seasons, is seeking !te make a connection. The horses Miss Europe, Wing Myth and Run Boot, which jbe handled for H. A. Spaulding, are going to be trained this spring by Spaulding himself, r C. Hart wired for stall room for four nbrses, namely. Black Man Jr., Manor Dell, Blind Sally and Mary Play. F. Scott asked accommodations for a trio consisting of Racketeer, Rolled Notes and Wardell Ormont. , Fob, a winner in New Orleans last winter, will be one of a trio campaigned here by E. Daniels. The latter also has Concerto and Try Fair. Doris Henderson will campaign a dozen at the meeting, including Black Rhapsody, Edification, Doris B., Jackknife and Erb. One of the thoroughbreds Sam Pershall .will race here this "spring is dubbed Hodgie, after the well-known Granite City insurance agent, Orville Hodge. Little Tramp, a 50 to 1 shot winner the s last day at Hot Springs, will be in the trio sent here by D. Womeldorff. His others are Carlovinian and Banola. Track superintendent John Le Blanc Js seen frequently in the infield astride his new tractor bought to expedite preparations for the opening. J. Umensetter will send five horses to the scene, Baranca, Eddies Brother, First Start, Two Brooms and Imperial Jones..
