TECHNICIAN STARTS APRIL 29 LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 15. Ben A. Jones, trainer of the Woolford Farm stable, said here today that the Derby candidate Technician, will make his first start of the Kentucky season .in the Daniel Boone Purse on the first day of the Churchill Downs meeting, Saturday, April 29. Jones has selected the Daniel Boone Purse, to be decided over three-quarters of a mile, as the Herbert M. Wpolf candidates first three-year-old engagement here. Jones also plans to start him in the mile Derby Trial Stakes four days before the Derby on May 6.
