PILOT BISCUIT forced the pace from the start while on the inside and, shaking off SPANKED in the stretch, drew away through the final eighth. PINK GAL raced greenly all the way, but then finished well through the stretch. WAVES went wide into the stretch and showed good form despite racing greenly. SCURRY lacked early speed. SPANKED was rushed up fast on the outside from a slow beginning and then tired after racing close to the pace. IRON BAR showed nothing. SANDY BILL was sent into command after the start and quickly opened up a commanding lead, saved ground throughout and was under hand urging in the final sixteenth. SEAMYTH dropped out of contention after the start, worked his way up steadily and finished with a rush on the outside. SUNCRAX, fractious at the post, broke from outside the stalls and was rushed into contention, then held on well. HAPPILY raced forwardly in the early stages, but lost ground on the stretch turn and tired. GROUND OAK lacked early speed. MR. KNICK had no mishaps. Corrected weight Suncrax, 116. The latter was sent into command with a rush, showed speed while saving ground and had no mishaps. DESPONDENT, from a slow start, worked her way up and showed good form. TEDDYS GIRL saved ground entering the stretch. HOSTILITY lacked early speed. CHICLUNA could not menace the leaders. AI-LING had no mishaps. LADY BETHYL was outrun. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE. GILDED KNIGHT forced the pace from the start while on the outside and, responding in the final eighth, finished gamely to wear down EL CHICO in the final strides. The latter stumbled at the start, but recovered quickly and moved into command, was under steady restraint in the early running and through the final eighth was not placed under severe pressure and was worked out an extra eighth. SEA CAPTAIN moved up on the inside entering the stretch and hung right at the finish. OUR MAT dropped back at the start and failed to menace the leaders under urging. PONTIUS had no mishaps. THE CHIEF lacked early speed, lost ground entering the stretch under pressure and made dp ground slowly. GREAT UNION was close up early and tired in the final eighth. BOLD TURK raced well throughout. ENDYMION was sent up on the outside on the far turn, challenged gamely in, the stretch, then tired. CHARMING HEROD, close to the pace from the start, faltered in the last eighth. GOOD VISIBILITY lacked early speed. LINAS SON raced BUENO ORO into defeat, then tired. CHALOTAUR had no mishaps. RUFFY lost ground on the turns. BELIEVER was outrun.
