LINDBERGH READY TO ADVISE NEW YORK, N. Y., April 15. Col. Charles A. Lindbergh is back in the United States from his voluntary exile in Paris on reported missions of importance to American commercial and military aviation. The purposes which compelled the famous American airman to return to the United States after an absence of more than a year were believed to be these: To use his influence in breaking government red tape, said to be holding up the start of trans-Atlantic passenger air service by Pan-American Airways with a chance that Great Britain may seek first honors; to report to responsible government authorities the result of his studies of the air strengths of the various European nations, and to advise on how the United States may build up its military preparedness in the air.
