STAND TO WIN 5,000 BET Gregorys Wager 0 at 200 to 1 Straight and 0 at 60 to 1 to Show on Lostagal in Derby. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 20. If Lostagal, a Kentucky-bred gelding not prominently known by racing fans, happens to get home in front in the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs two weeks from Saturday, his owner, Mrs. Cecil Gregory, and her husband, J. R. Gregory, who trains him, stand to win 5,000 for an investment of 10. Although his previous performances do not suggest it, Lostagal is regarded as a proficient muddy track runner by Gregory and, on the chance that the track will be water-soaked on Derby Day, the Gregorys wagered 0 at 200 to 1 straight, and 0 at 60 to 1 third. Should the Indianapolis-owned horse stun the racing world by winning Americas premier race, the Gregorys will take down 2,000 for their straight wager and ,000 for the, show bet, and also, of course, the winners end of the 0,000 added purse and a ,000 gold cup. Lostagal arrived here from Arkansas a week ago and since has turned in several useful private trials. This son of Hadagal and Lazy Susan was racing with the cheapest plater company last fall, but improved some during the winter at New Orleans. He was purchased from Ed McCuan, of Illinois, who had acquired him for ,350 at Narragansett last November. Lostagals first start at Churchill Downs is to come in the Derby Trial Stakes on May 2.
