TELEVISION IS HERE NEW YORK, N. Y., April 20. Television is here, according to the announcement of David Sarnoff, president of the Radio Corporation of America, in a television broadcast from the RCA Exhibit Building at the New York Worlds Fair grounds. "Today we are on the eve of launching a new industry," Sarnoff said, "based on imagination, on scientific research and accomplishment. We are now ready to fulfill the promise made to the public last October, when the Radio Corporation of America announced that television program, service and commercial television receivers would be made available to the public with the opening of the New York Worlds Fair."
