COUNTRY PRINCE, starting fast and in close quarters early, responded to strong urging in the stretch and, wearing down STEARS in the last stages, outfinished MY CREST. The latter, slow to reach her best stride and forced to lose ground when moving up, was hard urged in the stretch and finished fastest. STEARS sprinted into a clear load in the first quarter, held command under hustling tactics and tired in the final stages. UPHOLD, in close quarters for five-eighths, tired. MISS MINT DROP had no mishaps. CORN FIELD raced evenly. FLY STONE quit. LITTLE RULER, hustled along from the start, went wide into the stretch and, wearing down MAENERVA in the closing forty yards, won drawing out. The latter, rushed into the lead, increasing her advantage enter- ing the stretch and was weakly handled in the late stages. KAI-HI, slow to start, moved up gamely on the inside and closed with a rush. VALDINA LASS, shuffled back entering the stretch, moved up fast when clear. BARTS MAYOR tired after moving up. BILL DONOGHUE, rushed to the front, was unable to draw clear and tired in the final stride. ISOLENE, lucky to find room when moving up, was shuffled back on the far turn, but saved ground and finished strongly. I SEE closed with a rush. DON ROMIRO tired. CORNER BOY raced wide. ALUP failed to keep up. YELLOW ROSE, slow to start, tired after moving up. LIKA THAT, shuffled back near the last quarter, showed little thereafter. MISS QUIZ had no mishaps. KILLARNEY LASS was in close quarters soon after the start.
