SUSPEND JOCKEY VARNER SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 20. Jockey R. Varner was suspended for the remainder of the meeting and fined 0 for rough riding aboard Shasta Klick Saturday. Varner will be permitted to ride out his engagements Wednesday. Apprentice Bert Reynolds drew a 5 fine for failure to make a clear and concise statement to the stewards relative to the incident.
