i I KEENELAND TURF NOTES $, : Otto W. Lehman,, president of the Arlington Jockey Club and Mrs. Lehman, were arrivals from Chicago Thursday and will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wright at their Calumet farm. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Adams are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Headley at their La Belle Farm. Dale K., which raced last year under the name of Oddesa Beulah, is nearing condition and trainer AI Miller hopes to have her under colors in the near future. She breezed a half mile in :52 Wednesday morning. Calumet Farms Bull Lea, Easy Mon and two two-year-olds will be shipped to Havre de Grace Sunday. Trainer Frank Kearns will go along with the quartette and Bull Lea will fill his engagement in the Philadelphia Handicap. He will remain in Maryland until the running of the Dixie Handicap and then with his stablemates, will be returned to Calumet Farm. Eddie Arcaro left here Thursday night for Havre de Grace where he will ride Greentree Stables Day Off in the Chesapeake Stakes on Saturday. Day Off, winner of the Louisiana Derby, was shipped to Havre de Grace last night. Smart Crack, winner of six straight races as a juvenile, one of which was the Jeanne dArc Stakes, before meeting defeat in the Autumn Stakes at Empire City, was vanned over from Churchill Downs to augment the division of the W. F. Morgan and E. E. Fogelson stable Robert McGarvey has here. C. N. Finch announced the sale of the two-year-old Green Whisk to C. Wilhelm of Benton, 111. The juvenile was shipped from the Finch farm to Fairmount Park. L. A. Connor stated that Gate Manager went amiss in his race Wednesday and would be out of competition for some time. W. T. Freeman has ordered Grand Waters to be taken up from the Shafer farm, near Detroit, and placed in training at the Fair Grounds course. J. R. Burnett transferred Cup Defender and Flightaway from the trotting track to Keeneland. Bennett Creech will send the nine horses he has here to Churchill Downs at the close of this meeting. Jockeys R. Conley and J. Richard will accompany the stable. F. J. Demary, Orange, Texas, owner and breeder of the Border Farm Stable, was an arrival from his home and expects to remain the balance of the meeting. Demary has seven horses here in charge of H. J. Janson. J. W. Murphy reported that the Green-lawn Stables four-year-old Loverna died Tuesday. Loverna was a daughter of Star-patic Juvenescence. L. V. Bellew, Jr., vanned three .horses here from Louisville. Milky Way Farms No Competition, On Location and Rule All gave a fine display of speed at Keeneland Thursday morning, the trio being drilled a half-mile each. No Competition and Rule All, working together, sped the distance in :4775, the opening three furlongs in :35. On Location was timed a half-mile in :4873.
