INVESTIGATE PARIS FIRE LE HAVRE, France, April 20. In the belief the French luxury liner Paris may have been set on fire by anti-French arsonists, members of the Surete Nationale conducted a rigid investigation today, questioning members of the ships crew. Minister of Marine Louis de Chappedelaine admitted authorities have received threats that the Normandie, pride of the French line, would be blown up. Special precautions were taken to guard the gigantic vessel at its dock here. Color was lent to the theory of possible sabotage by the speed with which the flames swept the ship, which finally settled in forty feet of water. One case of the large shipment of French art treasures consigned to the United States for exhibition at the New York Worlds Fair was damaged. The rest of the art objects, valued at 50,000, were saved. Passengers and cargo scheduled to sail aboard the Paris for New York departed aboard the liner Champlain today.
