PRESS TIME assumed a short load early and, withstanding SATIN ROLLS, was kept under hard pressure and barely lasted. POMPE GRANDE was hard urged and, racing close up in the early stages, went wide into the stretch and finished well. MILLCHIC, close up throughout, finished gamely. SEALOCH, slow to start, came through on the inside entering the stretch, moved to the leaders, but was blocked and forced to be taken up in the last sixteenth and appeared best. SATIN ROLLS had no mishaps. UPDO came fast in the late stages. SUNTRAIL showed early speed. MISS TRIM was outrun. BREAKING WAVES tired. The others were outrun. BARRACA was rushed from the start, drove through on the inside of DINA-MITA, took the lead, but was made too much use of and tired fast. BOB JUNIOR worked his way steadily, saved ground in the late stages and finished well. DINAMITA showed good speed while making the pace, but tired in the stretch. FLAG ETTA had no mishaps. The latter, on the outside, was shaken up strongly in the stretch, but could not reach the winner. BRASS BOTTLE was eased back in the first eighth, came through on the inside in the closing five-sixteenths and finished gamely. DIZZY DAME was hard ridden for half a mile and tired in the drive. BOSTON MARY raced close up, but was not good enough. FRENCH BREAD was done after half a mile. LITTLE DRIFT was held safe. The latter displaced SUZANNE PECK on the turn, but could not withstand the winner. AIRACUDA moved up gamely in the late stages. SUZANNE PECK saved ground, but tired when challenged. MISS HAPPY raced well. BLAZEAROUND was unable to reach contention. EVENING LIGHT could not keep up. SUN GIRL was kept in the heaviest going and could not get going. SPEED SHIP was outrun. BEACON ROCK tired when urged. HELENS LAD unseated his rider on the way to the post and ran awav three-quarters, then raced wide on the first turn, but held a contending position to the stretch.
