CYNIC QUEEN, never far from the pace, moved up strongly after entering the stretch to draw away from her rivals in the last eighth and won with speed in reserve. SALSITA raced to the front early and showed good spepd in pacemaking, but was no match for the winner in the stretch. TORCH SINGER moved up close to the leader nearing the stretch turn and raced fairly well to the end. MASTER JEAN closed some ground. BOSCA, a very slow beginner, was badly outrun to the last quarter, then was crowded to the rail while attempting to get through on the inside and was in close quarters all through the stretch. KING ROYALE, hard held in the parly stages, permitted WILDRUN to take a long lead in the first quarter, then picked him up when ready to take a short lead and, although headed by KENT in the stretch, bested the latter under superior riding. KENT moved forward steadily on the back stretch, but tired after headine KING ROYALE in the stretch. PORTET was well up most of the way in a creditable effort. RODNEY PAN closed much ground. BON BOOTS lacked early speed and raced wide all the way. SWIFT GAL was npvpr a contender in a weak effort. WILDRUN quit badly after showing tha way for half the distance. URGE ME dashed to the front at once, was given a breathing spell after having opened up a good, lead and, saving ground in the stretch, drew out again to win easily. REAL CLEAR was unable to keep op in the early part, but came very fast on the outside through the stretch. SMOKY SYNDER lost ground by racing wide, but was going fairly well at the finish. SKY RHONDA was hard ridden in an attempt to catch the winner and tired near the end. DIP could not keep up and was never a serious factor. ALASKAN tired after moving up nearing the stretch turn. MARY ALLEN, outrun for half the distance, came very fast when ready to get a good lead after entering the stretch and had little trouble leading to the finish. SIR RIDGWAY, close enough in the early running, made a good move while saving ground in the stretch, but did not seriously threaten the winner. BINOCULAR raced to the front at once to draw away from the field rounding the far turn, but tired in the Stretch. BON AMOUR closed some ground. SHORTBREAD was taken in hand when about to move up to BINOCULAR in the back stretch, then dropped back while his rider was looking around and was hard urged in the stretch when too late. ETHELMONT was badly outrun all the way. Overweight — Binocular, 4 pounds.
