ZIEGLER JAMAICA VISITOR NEW YORK, N. Y., April 29— William J. Ziegler was among the early arrivals. The New York sportsman, owner of El Chico, had luncheon with a party of friends in the clubhouse dining room. Young Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, represented in the Wood by Impound, came up from Baltimore to see the race. Walter J. Salmon, George H. Bull, Christopher FitzGerald, Henry Lusti*, owner of the Longchamps Farm, A. G. Sage, John Sloan of the New York Racing Commission, Charles Schwartz, John D. Hertz, Charles S. Strub, general director of Santa Anita Park; Dan Mahoney, Miami publisher; Dr. Edward P. Kilroe, president of the Metropolitan Jockey Club; George D. Widener, owner of Eight Thirty, and his trainer, Andrew Jackson Joyner, also were noticed in attendance.
