WPA PLANS TO DROP 900,000 WASHINGTON, D. C, April 29.— Officials of the Works Progress Administration stated Friday that they intend cutting 900.COO persons from the WPA rolls this summer in order to comply with the reduced relief budget for the next fiscal year. Plans call for reducing the number of persons working for the WPA from about 2,400,000 on July 1, to 1,500,000 by June 30, 1940,
