LADFIELD SCORES AT BEULAH Owner-Trainer J. Binstock Receives Trophy After His Colors Score at Columbus Course. COLUMBUS Ohio, April 29. — Ladfield carried J. Binstocks colors to his second victory of the Beulah Park meeting when he led by a comfortable margin at all stages of the Arabian Supper Club Purse, sixth and best offering this afternoon. It was only during the closing stages that Straight Thru got up to head Darby Dean for the second honors, both of which were forced to come from behind in the run home. Queen Clarice was a keen factor for the first half mile, but she quit as if short during the stretch run. Hastada also weakened after showing early speed. At the completion of this event, Tom Jones made the presentation of the trophy to J. Binstock, the owner and trainer of Ladfield. The sport was staged under ideal conditions and an excellent crowd witnessed the sport. With the improvement in the track, form was more in evidence, the choices accounting for a majority of the eight events. Will Today and Miss Monk led throughout in their respective races, the former barely lasting. Acute and Pot au Mint got up in the last seventy yards to earn brackets in their races, but Brentwood Lad drew away easily through the stretch to annex the fourth, his second victory of the meeting.
