PONTIUS LATE SCRATCH NEW YORK, N. Y., April 29.— Pontius, owned by N. I. Asiel, was scratched from the third race, Saturday. While being saddled, the horse kicked the side wall of the stall and injured his leg, which brought about his withdrawal. When Pontius was displayed as a non-starter in the third race, a brand new opening line was displayed by the commissioners in the main ring.
