VANDERBILT - PIMLICOS PRESIDENT * - A Since young Mr. Vanderbilt has become head of the Maryland Jockey Club, which operates the Pimlico track, located in the City of Baltimore, not only the old plant has been improved, but the racing itself, with richer stake prizes and generous overnight purses attracting the best horses of the country. The forty-ninth running of the Preakness Stakes today will bring to an end one of the most successful spring meetings ever held at that popular racing grounds.
