Ogle; bred by Mr. A. C Hughes. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST— 5:53. AT POST— 5 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. HEAVY MIST was steadied along back of the pace until the last five-sixteenths, moved up steadily and, saving all possible ground, closed in determined fashion and was along in the last strides to wear down WHIPSTITCH. The latter improved her position gradually, raced to the front when called upon, opened up a good lead, but, tiring through the last sixteenth, was unable to cope with the closing bid of the winner. VEILSTAR, well placed from the start, held on willingly to the close. HIGH BETSY tired steadily in the last five-sixteenths. PLAYDEMA, unruly at the post, was started outside the stalls. QUICK ACTION quit. Overweight— Heavy Mist, 5 pounds; Head Mistress, 2£.
