1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I $ 8 Burning Star, winner of the Ben Ali Handicap and John H. Morris Diamond Anniversary Handicap during the Keeneland meeting and unsuccessful in the Philadelphia and Dixie Handicaps, in Maryland, arrived here Friday morning in charge of J. J. Greely, Sr. Accompanying the son of Burning Blaze from the Old Hilltop course were Questre, Annie Alone, South Mill and Yankee Lad. Upon his arrival here J. J. Greely took over the horses that were being trained by his son and young Greely returns to Shan-don Farm to resume his duties as farm manager. Warren Yarberry, who rode his first win- * ner on Herondas at Suffolk Downs, will become a full-fledged rider on May 18. Yarberry, who makes his home in Detroit, is under contract to Joseph E. Widener. Mrs. J. H. Skirvin purchased the plater Aglow from the Shandon Farm stable and the same establishment sold Blossom Queen to Miss O. Whisman. Apprentice A. Page departed for Charles Town to await the opening, of that meeting, at the East Boston track.
