OFF DUTY saved ground in the early stages, then moved up on the outside of the leaders when straightened out in the stretch and drew out into an easy lead in the last sixteenth. PAKALA secured a brief lead when an eighth out, but failed to withstand the winners challenge. CARUS CLARUS gained steadily in the last half and finished resolutely. HASTY- COLONEL had no excuses and tired in the last eighth. SPANISH ART showed early speed, but tired. KIEVRAY had no mishaps and was outrun throughout. NINTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute.
